Summer Wedding at Clitheroe Castle
On the 3rd of July 2021 I had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jack and Darren at The Atrium Clitheroe Castle, Lancashire.
The day started with not only the most horrendous rain, but endless thunder and lightning. Not ideal when you’re heading to a wedding venue on top of a big hill!
My first visit was to Jack who was getting ready in the Railway Hotel in the center of Clitheroe. I had the chance to not only capture the groom and best man prep…but also the grooms beautiful little girl who couldn’t stop doing twirls in her dress.
As I strolled around the Clitheroe Castle grounds taking some locations shots, the clouds parted and the sun began to shine. Just in time to meet Darren and hi best man for some shots looking out over Pendle Hill.
The wedding ceremony was in the beautiful, intimate, Stewards Gallery, Clitheroe Castle. With the Grooms in matching tweed waistcoats looking very sharp!
The wedding breakfast was served in the Atrium and after there was a relaxed gathering before everyone went to a local pub for a few beers and to watch England thrash the Ukraine in the quarter-finals.
It was an amazing, relaxed and fun wedding that really reflected the guys and their relationship.
Here’s a selection of photos from the same sex summer wedding at The Atrium Clitheroe Castle.
All the Best,
Martyn
